Dr. Tad DeWald is originally from Tucson, Arizona and is beginning his first year on the University of West Alabama Sports Medicine Staff.  As an undergraduate, he attended Pomona College, graduated from St. George's University medical school, and completed residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Wayne State University in Detroit.  He is currently training as a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellow at American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham under the leadership of Dr. Jose Ortega.  In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. DeWald enjoys basketball and spending time with his wife and three children.
