Corey L. Neal, ATC

Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer/Clinical Instructor

Corey L. Neal comes to UWA in his second year as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer to work primarily with the rodeo team.  Corey graduated from the University of Nebraska Kearney (UNK), where he earned a B.S. in Exercise Science and Physical Education with an emphasis on Athletic Training in May 2006.  April 2006 found Corey with board certification in Athletic Training.  At UNK, Corey worked with the football, volleyball, baseball, softball, wrestling, women’s diving/swimming, and men and women’s: basketball, track, cross country, and tennis teams.  Corey has been in charge of providing medical coverage for the Nebraska State Softball Tournament in North Platte, Nebraska in 2005 and 2006.  While working with the UWA Athletic Training and Sports Medicine staff, he will be pursuing a Masters of Arts in Education.

Corey comes from a working cattle ranch near Tryon in the Sandhills region of Nebraska.  Corey graduated in 2001 from McPherson County High School in Tryon, Nebraska where he excelled in athletics and lettered all four years in 6-man football, basketball, and track.  Corey found Australia fun and very interesting when he played international basketball during the summer of 2001 in Coolangatta, Australia.
