Foundation Capital Campaign Update

^

NATA Foundation Campaign for Research and EducationAs the NATA Annual meeting approaches the NATA Foundation looks toward gradually winding down the active public phase of the Capital Campaign for Research and Education.  A tremendous amount of progress has been made with a great deal of involvement by an increasingly expanding number of people.  At the time of this eBlast we have reached slightly over 1.5 million dollars in cash and pledges.  We are confident that we can reach and exceed our 2 million dollar goal with your continued support.  The Campaign is designed to fund endowments for research, scholarships, and the operation of the Foundation.  Advocates for the profession are encouraged to consider making pledges over 3 to 5 years to an endowment of their choice.  Click HERE to find a complete list of the endowments currently accepting funds.  Additional endowments may still be created in honor of someone or for a specific interest by contacting John Honaman at the NATA Foundation via johnh@nata.org or (972) 532-8802.

PRACTICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Females and those working in the college/university settings are more likely to be burned out than males and those working in the clinical/industrial or secondary school/youth settings. Intervention efforts should focus on these sub-groups of certified athletic trainers (ATCs) to prevent burnout.
