I hope
this
note
finds
each of
you
well.
It has
been a
busy
summer
and we
had a
wonderful,
productive
annual
meeting
in San
Antonio
where we
brought
to a
close
our
Capital
Campaign
for
Research
and
Education.
Additionally,
the
Foundation
held our
second
annual
donor
reception
where
our
theme
was
“Celebrating
our
Success”.
Over 2
years
ago, the
Foundation’s
Board of
Directors
voted to
initiate
a
Capital
Campaign
for
Research
and
Education.
Over the
course
of the
Campaign
it
became
clear
that it
would be
a
campaign
powered
by
volunteers,
powered
by
Athletic
Trainers.
As many
of you
know,
the
Campaign
has
really
been a
combined
effort
of
volunteers
organized
in small
working
groups
focused
on
developing
endowments.
In most
cases
these
endowments
have
been put
in place
to honor
icons in
athletic
training
and
sports
medicine.
The
combined
effort
of these
working
groups
has
resulted
in more
than 35
new
endowments
in the
Foundation’s
portfolio.
I would
like to
thank
each of
you who
participated
in the
Capital
Campaign.
This
Campaign
has been
transformational
for the
NATA
Foundation
and for
the
profession
of
athletic
training.
