The
NATA
Research
&
Education Foundation
has
introduced
the Shoe
Box
Society
for
Planned
Giving,
a new
group
that
honors
those
whose
estate
planning
supports
the
Foundation's
mission.
Foundation
President
Mark
Hoffman,
PhD, ATC,
said the
new
society
accomplishes
two
goals at
once: it
recognizes
a group
of very
special
donors
while
also
shining
a light
on the
concept
of
remembering
the
Foundation
in your
will.
"This is
another
opportunity
for
someone
to show
their
passion
for the
Foundation"
Hoffman
explained.
"The
goal is
to
develop
a group
of
donors
who
include
the
Foundation
in their
estate
planning,
and for
us as a
Foundation
to have
the
opportunity
to
publicly
recognize
their
generosity."
The Shoe
Box
Society
has come
about as
the
Foundation's
Capital
Campaign
revs up
for its
next
phase.
The
creation
of this
special
group
hearkens
back to
the
visionary
pioneers
who
founded
the
NATA:
those
athletic
trainers
knew
their
efforts
would
benefit
the
people
who
followed
in their
footsteps
more
than
themselves,
and they
were
willing
to
invest
in the
future.
