Brian Cheney, ATC
Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer

Brian Cheney, ATCBrian Cheney is beginning his second year at The University of West Alabama as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer.  He is pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching, Physical Education.  He began his Athletic Training career at Cedarville University, a CAATE accredited athletic training education program, and graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training.  While at Cedarville, Brian worked with volleyball, indoor and outdoor track and field, and men's basketball.  He also worked with Central State University football and Shawnee High School basketball, wrestling, power lifting, baseball, softball, and track and field.

Brian is originally from Beaver Falls, New York and looks forward to experiencing life in the South.  His interests include music and playing and watching a variety of sports.  Brian will be working with various high schools in the area this year through the UWA high school outreach program.
