Danny Rivas, ATC
Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer

Danny Rivas, ATCDanny Rivas will be a second year Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at UWA.  He graduated from Western Carolina University in May of 2017 with a B.S. in Athletic Training.  Danny’s junior year clinical experience was with Davidson College working primarily with football and women’s basketball.  While at Davidson he also had the opportunity to work with wrestling, volleyball women’s soccer and Women’s Lacrosse.  In his senior year, he completed a full clinical immersion rotation for the fall semester at the University of Virginia working with the football team. He followed this by working with the strength and conditioning staff at The University of North Carolina at Asheville and Emergency Medical Services in Cherokee, NC.  Danny also had the opportunity to work with an orthopedic surgeon in Waynesville, NC in the clinic and surgery.

Danny will be providing athletic training services for The University of West Alabama Cheerleading and Women’s Basketball teams.
