 Whitney
Smith has completed her first year at The University of West Alabama as a
Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer while pursuing her Master’s of Arts in
Teaching, Physical Education and Biology. In her time at UWA, she has worked
with Cross Country, Rodeo and Softball. She began her athletic training career
at Lee University, a CAAHEP accredited athletic training education program,
graduating in December of 2007 with her B.S. in Athletic Training. While at Lee
she primarily worked with Softball, Women’s Soccer, Baseball and Volleyball.
After graduating from Lee, Whitney began working at Florida Institute of
Technology in January of 2008 as an assistant to the Head Athletic Trainer, Mike
Smith, ATC, who previously worked at UWA in 2005. While at FIT, Whitney worked
with Softball, Baseball and Tennis.
Whitney is a native Floridian but has adjusted well to Alabama living and has
enjoyed getting to know the community of Livingston.
